Image Downloader

Take the pictures from a page, at the size you actually want.

Every image on the page in one list: the source address, the alt text, the file size and the real dimensions, not the ones the layout squeezed them into. Filter by size, sort by width, pick what you keep.

Tabitha follows the srcset and the lazy loading attributes to find the full resolution file rather than the thumbnail. It also reads pictures set as a CSS background.

How it works

Step 1
Open the page and scan
The list appears with a preview of each image and the numbers next to it. Lazy loaded pictures are collected as the page scrolls.
Step 2
Filter out the noise
A minimum width and height removes icons, spacers and tracking pixels in one move. You can also filter by format or by part of the address.
Step 3
Pick and rename
Select what you want and choose the filename pattern: the original name, the alt text, or a counter with a prefix you set.
Step 4
Download or keep the addresses
Save the files into a folder, or export the table of addresses and metadata if the files are not what you needed.

When to reach for it

Collecting product photography from a catalogue you have the right to use.
Checking which images on a page have no alt text, and how heavy they are.
Getting the full resolution version when the page only shows a thumbnail.

What it will not do

Downloading needs the downloads permission, which Tabitha asks for the first time you use it.
Images served through a signed short lived address may expire before the download finishes.
Copyright applies to pictures, and being able to download one says nothing about being allowed to use it.
Video and audio are out of scope. This tool handles images.
